Lotka refers to a small woody plant of the Laurel family that grows at over 6000 feet in the Himalayas, and has been traditionally used in Nepal to make paper. Lotka paper is a renewable resource, and provides a source of income to paper crafting families and village communities. For you to consider, the following is from the maker's packaging:
"Me-Tok-Ma, the Flower Lady is the Dakini who offers flowers to the gods. Multiplying her form and filling the entire sky, the offerings become an ocean of offerings. In this incense, the fragrance of kesar, tsampaka, and pangpoey apart from the numerous other prescribed herbs, give out the fragrance of the most precious perfumes. It has been made based on the Men-Ngak formula according to the Tibetan tradition. The entire processing right from the selection of the herbs to the packing is done in the same way the Lamas used to for Choed-Pa or offering to the gods. This incense is a tribute to the Dakini that it is named after. We pray that your purchase and use of this incense will be beneficial to all beings. Thank you. "
