Stone Buddha ~ Protection

The pictured carved stone Buddha statue was hand crafted from a colorful type of Himalayan stone by artisans in India. A beautiful and unique carving that is done "cave style" with only the front side carved and the rest left as natural rock. The Buddha's gesture is the abhaya mudra, the traditional Indian gesture of appeasement. A unique work of art from the Himalayas.
